This picture is deceiving so don't worry about Grant's safety- worry for the dog! We have the best dog in the world. Layla was our first baby and it did take her a little bit of time to get used to having Grant around. But she has adjusted well- just like we thought she would and takes all the abuse that Grant dishes out. In this picture she is actually licking the baby despite him pulling her hair. The dog just sits there while he grabs hair by the hand full. And it goes straight to his mouth, of course.
Look out cat- he's coming to get you next!

Our little guy is almost 9 months old and he still has no teeth. I jokingly say he has been teething since he was 5 months old and he's got nothing to show for it. I have a feeling he is going to get them all at one time.

A nice friend from my work gave Grant a walker. He likes to cruise around but his favorite is still the jumperoo.
He's not just mobile in the walker, he is also crawling. That's right the boy is on the move. While I am happy about his progress, I can't say I'm too happy about the prospect of having to super glue everything down. Luckily he can't go to far yet. He's still perfecting his hand/ leg coordination. He can also pull up all by himself. Especially when he sees something he wants. Grant is very inquisitive and inspects every object thoroughly.
Once Grant hit 7 months he really started babbling all the time. First was Mum Mum Mummm and then it was Da Da Daddy. I was surprised and thrilled to hear these words even though he probably didn't know what he was saying. Now I'm pretty sure he knows what he is saying because he looks at me. Even if he doesn't - I'll take what I can get cause they are the sweetest words I've ever heard!
Since the transition out of the Nap Nanny and into the crib we have both lost a lot of sleep. Well mainly me because Grant moved into Mom and Dads' bed. While I love the snuggle time, I didn't love the feet in my back and ribs all night long. We've been working on self soothing for putting himself to sleep. Its been a torturous time for me since I don't do well with letting him cry. Its only taking a couple of days and there has been significant improvement- Thank goodness!
And finally-I mean FINALLY- I think we are over the worst of the acid reflux.
Its been a wild ride the past couple of weeks but I'm enjoying all those opened mouthed, wet kisses. They seem to make me forget about all the rest...
Oh, one more thing- Congratulations to cousin Jessica on her new little bundle of joy, Jillian Mariah Noes.
